This policy explains what personal data Huru Lab collects when you visit hurulab.com or contact us, and what we do with it. We collect as little as we can, and we never sell it.

1. Who we are

Huru Lab (胡了資訊設計企業有限公司, Unified Business Number 83171964), 12F-5, No. 189, Sec. 2, Keelung Rd., Xinyi Dist., Taipei City 110, Taiwan, is responsible for your data. Write to us at hello@hurulab.com with any question about this policy.

2. What we collect

  • When you write to us. The contact form asks for your name, email, company (optional), a topic and your message. If you email us directly, we get what you write and your email address.
  • How the site is used, only if you agree. With your consent, Google Analytics records the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type, your approximate location (city level) and whether you sent the contact form. Google Analytics does not store your IP address. See the cookie policy.
  • Technical logs. Our host, Cloudflare, briefly processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
  • Settings kept on your device. Your language, light or dark mode and cookie choice stay in your browser. They are not sent to us.

3. Why we use it

  • To reply to your message and talk about working together, because you asked us to.
  • To understand which pages help people and improve the site, only with your consent.
  • To keep the site running and secure, which is in our and our visitors' legitimate interest.

We handle personal data under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act. Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, the legal bases are the ones named above: steps you asked for, consent, and legitimate interest.

4. Who handles it for us

We use a few service providers, who may only use your data to provide their service to us:

These providers may process data outside Taiwan, including in the United States. We share data with anyone else only if the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

  • Messages and emails: while we are in conversation, and up to two years after our last contact.
  • Google Analytics data: 14 months, then Google deletes it.
  • Settings on your device: until you clear them. Your cookie choice is asked again after a year.

6. Your rights

You can ask us, free of charge, to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you, and let you see or copy it;
  • correct or complete it;
  • stop collecting, processing or using it;
  • delete it.

You can change or withdraw your consent to analytics at any time in . Write to hello@hurulab.com for anything else; we reply within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you may also object to processing, ask to move your data, or complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Children

The site is for businesses and is not meant for children. We don't knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

When this policy changes, we update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects what you agreed to, we ask again.
